Most fragile in 20 years, markets may crash badly, focus on hedging, says Nassim Taleb



'Black Swan' author and top economist Nassim Taleb, who also has an expertise in risk analysis, has now claimed that there could be a potential market collapse in the coming days, even though investors at this point are cheering for some of the rallies seen in the stock market. Taleb's fears stem from the fact that there are risks like high debt levels and even 'crazy stock prices' that are not a good sign for the markets, according to his interview with Bloomberg.


Is the US market currently fragile?

The market is also, at this point, very fragile and at a risk of an imminent collapse. Already, there were severe recession fears, which had led to the US Federal Reserve slashing down interest rates by a whopping 50 bps, that they felt was an aggressive approach to halt a US recession.
